The Orange Uganda Fair Usage Policy ("FUP") is implemented to ensure reliable and quality Internet services on the terms below:
1. Orange reserves the right to determine what is deemed to be abuse of usage of service based on existing customers average usage, market conditions, international availability and quality of internet connectivity and this will change from time to time
2. A customer will be deemed to be in breach of the FUP in the following events:
a) the volume cap for the plan is exceeded
b) the customer uses the service for commercial purposes (if a residential customer).
c) if the customer uses the service for illegal activities.
d) if the customer uses the service for the purposes of spam or illegal email activities
e) if the customer uses peer-to?peer applications that infringe international copyright laws
f) if the customer downloads illegal content or infringes international copyright laws
g) if the customer downloads inappropriate or sensitive content or material that may bring the company into disrepute
h) if the customer uses the service to disrupt, annoy, attack or in some way offend a third party user
i) if a complaint is brought against the customer by a third party for abuse of the service and the complaint is confirmed to be factual by the Company
3. In the event the FUP is deemed to be breached, the Company reserves the right to:
a) terminate the service
b) change the service to another similar service without the benefits of the originally signed up service.
4. Activation of the offer takes place within 6 hours after time of payment
5. Renewal of the internet everywhere offer takes place under the following conditions;
a) renewal is possible after exhaustion of the bundle volume or after the expiry date of the
b) payment at an OUL shop for one of the renewal offers
c) loading airtime and purchasing a bundle using USSD off your mobile phone
d) unused credit will be rolled over to the next month as long as renewal is done within 30 days after expiry of the existing bundle.
6. If the customer does not renew, he can top-up his account balance using e-recharge to continue enjoying the internet everywhere offer, via our PAYGO mobile internet service
